About AeroSpark
AeroSpark reads contracts, checks them against your standards, marks up what needs changing, and puts the decision in front of the right person — inside Slack, Microsoft Teams, or the web. It is built for the teams who carry contract volume without a contract department behind them.
The problem we set out to fix
Contract review is a queue problem disguised as a legal problem.
An in-house lawyer spends a startling share of their week on agreements that are almost entirely standard — NDAs, order forms, routine vendor paper — reading each one from the top because there is no reliable way to know which ones actually need attention. Meanwhile the sales team waits, with no visibility into where a contract sits or what it is waiting on, and starts routing around the process entirely.
Both sides are behaving rationally. The review queue simply has no triage, no memory of what was agreed last time, and no record that survives the thread it happened in. That is the gap AeroSpark closes.
What we believe
- A human decides every contract. AI does the reading, the extraction, the comparison against your policy and the first draft of the markup. It does not approve anything. We removed auto-approval from the product deliberately — speed should come from a reviewer having everything in front of them, not from nobody looking.
- Your standards, not our opinion. A generic AI assessment of a contract is close to worthless, because "is this term acceptable?" depends entirely on whose paper and whose risk appetite. AeroSpark measures every document against the policy and playbook you configure. Upload your own negotiation playbook and it becomes the standard the review runs against.
- Meet people where they work. Legal tools fail when they ask a salesperson to log into a portal they will never open twice. Submitting a contract should take the same effort as sending a message, because that is the only version anyone actually adopts.
- The counterparty's document is untrusted input. A contract that arrives from the other side is a file written by someone with opposing interests. We treat it accordingly — hidden text and instruction-shaped content are stripped before the AI reads a word of it.
- Say what is actually true. Including on our own security page, where we would rather tell you precisely how your documents are handled than imply more than we have.
Where we are
AeroSpark is early. The product is live and in use, and we are working directly with the first teams running contracts through it — which means the people building it are the people you will talk to, and the things you tell us tend to show up in the product quickly.
If you are evaluating it: the fastest way to judge whether it works for your paper is to put three contracts through it that you have already reviewed by hand, and compare. We would rather you do that than take our word for anything.
